Hundreds Remain Without Power In Westchester Following Snowstorm

Hundreds are still without power in Westchester as utility crews from Con Edison and NYSEG continue cleaning up from Sunday’s snowstorm that impacted thousands overnight.

As of early evening on Monday, March 4, Con Edison was reporting 73 outages in Westchester, impacting 409 of their 348,198 customers in the county, while NYSEG had just one of their 38,806 customers still reporting outages.

In Westchester, 212 Scarsdale customers were still in the dark, followed by White Plains (63 outages); Mount Vernon (37); Port Chester (22); Harrison (12) Rye (11), Rye Brook and New Rochelle (10).

Other outages were reported in Yorktown, Yonkers, New Castle, Mamaroneck, Larchmont, Irvington, Greenburgh, Elmsford, Eastchester, Cortlandt, Buchanan, Bronxville, Bedford and Ardsley.

Con Edison has estimated that Westchester will have complete power restoration by 11 p.m. on Monday night.
